Peugeot 5008: A Digital Cockpit, Seven Seats, and a Touch of French Attitude

The Peugeot 5008 SUV, a French charmer that’s more than just a pretty face. It’s a tech-filled ride that’s out to impress, but can it hold its own in the crowded SUV market? Let’s find out.

  • Wireless charging pad for mobile devices.

What We Loved (and What Made Us Meh)

Here’s what sent our hearts racing:

  • Comfortable and spacious interior with a premium feel.
  • Impressive suite of tech features, including a spectacular digital cockpit.
  • Practicality with a flexible seating arrangement.
  • Smooth and responsive driving experience.
  • Great fuel economy, especially on the diesel variant.

And here are the speed bumps:

  • Some may find the i-Cockpit layout a bit quirky, with the small steering wheel and raised dials.
  • Base model lacks some desirable features.
  • The touchscreen can be slow to respond at times.
  • Third-row seating is a bit cramped for adults.
  • No all-wheel drive option.

The Peugeot 5008 is a tech-loaded SUV that manages to combine practicality with a dash of French flair. It’s a car that tries to do many things and, for the most part, it does them well. The 5008 is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with an array of tech features that make day-to-day driving a breeze.

We were particularly smitten by the i-Cockpit, Peugeot’s futuristic approach to the driver’s dashboard. However, the layout might not appeal to everyone and may take some getting used to. The 5008’s performance is also commendable, and the smooth gear changes courtesy of the 8-speed automatic transmission make for a pleasant drive.

On the downside, some features seem to have been sacrificed in the base model, and the lack of an all-wheel-drive option might be a deal-breaker for some. But overall, the Peugeot 5008 is a solid offering in the ever-competitive SUV market.

Verdict

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐☆

We’re giving it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The Peugeot 5008 impresses with its tech features, comfort, and practicality, but there are a few rough edges that keep it from achieving a perfect score.

Would we buy it?

If we were on the hunt for a family SUV with a techy twist, we’d certainly consider the 5008. It’s not perfect, but it’s a compelling package.

Value for Money

Given the wealth of tech and comfort features, along with its fuel efficiency, we’d say the Peugeot 5008 offers decent value for money. However, some may find the base model a bit sparse for the price.
